Study at Hamedan University of Medical Sciences
The Hamadan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services is a medical university located in the city of Hamadan, within Hamadan Province. The institution was established in 1975 under the name Bu-Ali Sina University and began its academic activities accordingly. In 1986, following the separation of medical universities from the Ministry of Science, it became an independent institution under the name Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. In 2013, due to its substantial facilities and academic capacity, it was recognized as a Type I university in Iran and is now regarded as the most advanced medical university in western Iran.
Currently, the university comprises 11 active academic schools, along with 16 hospitals and medical, educational, and therapeutic centers, as well as 15 research institutes. More than 4,200 students are enrolled, and approximately 460 faculty members are engaged in teaching and research activities. To date, the university has produced 5,935 domestic scientific publications and 6,120 ISI-indexed articles in national and international journals and conferences.
