Studying at Iran University of Medical Sciences
Iran University of Medical Sciences is one of the top universities in Iran and the world. It was founded in August 1973 by Dr. Abdolhossein Samii.
The first plans for the university started in 1974, and the library was the first active department. In less than two years, the library collected thousands of scientific journals and books in different medical fields. It also connected directly by satellite to the U.S. National Medical Information Center, becoming one of the important medical information centers in the world.
Today, the university has more than 1,183 faculty members and 11,000 students.
Ranking
According to the Public Relations Office of Iran University of Medical Sciences, in the latest Times Impact Rankings, the university improved its position from the 401–600 range to the 301–400 range, and was recognized as the best university in Iran.
