Introduction
Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences began its activities in 1986 by admitting 240 students in three fields of study and two academic levels within two faculties. Currently, around 2,939 students are studying in 34 academic disciplines across 41 degree programs at eight levels, including Clinical Ph.D., Ph.D. by Research, Professional Doctorate, Research-based Doctorate, Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s (continuous and discontinuous), and Associate Degree programs.
At present, the university has 286 faculty members, consisting of 9 Professors, 38 Associate Professors, 204 Assistant Professors, 1 Research Assistant Professor, 2 Assistant Instructors, and 32 Instructors.
Ranking
According to the latest report of the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings (2024), Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences was ranked among the top 300–350 young universities in the world. Moreover, in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, the university was placed in the 401–500 range among Asian universities. In its first year of participation in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (2024), the university achieved a world ranking between 1000–1500 and was placed 17th among Iranian universities.
